Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before your family decides.

Good support begins with realistic expectations. These are the questions we want every family to ask.

Is Pratipala a medical, nursing or attendant service?

No. Pratipala is a non-medical senior lifestyle support, coordination and family-assurance service. Diagnosis, treatment, nursing, medication administration and continuous personal-attendant care must be provided by separately engaged qualified professionals.

Can I enrol my parent without their agreement?

No service starts without the senior's awareness, willingness and appropriate consent. We work with the family, but the senior remains central to decisions and information-sharing preferences.

Does Pratipala provide 24/7 emergency response?

No. Pratipala is not an ambulance or emergency-response service. We provide priority urgent coordination during published service hours and contact the appropriate emergency provider, authority or authorised family contact when required.

Are cabs, medicines, repairs and professional fees included?

No. External purchases and third-party provider charges are extra. We seek documented approval, share the expected cost when available and retain receipts wherever possible.

Where is Pratipala currently available?

We currently accept enquiries in Koramangala, Jayanagar, Basavanagudi and JP Nagar. Final eligibility depends on the exact address, PIN code, staffing and the agreed service plan.

How long is a membership?

Memberships begin with a three-month minimum so the relationship and operating rhythm can become dependable. Six- and twelve-month engagements are available after assessment.

Can one plan support both parents?

The listed price covers one senior. Couples and two-senior households receive a tailored plan after assessment because visit time, coordination load and consent arrangements differ.

How are Care Partners selected?

Pratipala uses identity, reference and appropriate background checks, structured onboarding, scope training, documentation standards and supervised operating reviews before independent home visits.

Will the same Care Partner visit every time?

We assign a named Care Partner and aim for relationship continuity. For leave or operational continuity, an approved backup may attend after advance introduction and confirmation—never an unverified substitute.

Can Care Partners handle cash, banking or legal documents?

No. Care Partners do not withdraw cash, request or use PINs, passwords or OTPs, make financial decisions, sign legal documents, or take custody of valuables.
